Visit of IWWA Vice President Shri Umesh Mehta to Pune Centre
IWWA Pune Centre had the pleasure of welcoming Shri Umesh Mehta, Vice President, Indian Water Works Association, during his Pune visit on 19 August 2026. He visited the Pune Centre and met Smt. Vaishali Awate, Chairperson, IWWA Pune Centre, for a detailed discussion regarding the upcoming IWWA National Convention 2027 to be held at Ranchi. During the meeting, Shri Mehta briefed the Chairperson in detail about the proposed National Convention, its objectives, participation, and the importance of securing support from industries and companies associated with the water and allied sectors. He particularly requested the Pune Centre to approach leading companies in Pune and encourage them to extend their support and participation for this important national event. The discussion received an encouraging response from Smt. Vaishali Awate. In a very positive and proactive step, she immediately invited the Directors of a leading company for a one-to-one meeting with Shri Mehta, thereby giving a strong start to the proposed industry outreach. She also assured Shri Mehta that the Pune Centre would make sincere efforts to approach other companies and mobilise their support for the Ranchi National Convention 2027. The Pune Centre expresses its sincere appreciation to Smt. Vaishali Awate for her prompt initiative, leadership and commitment towards supporting IWWA's national activities. Her immediate action has set a positive example for strengthening industry participation and support for the forthcoming convention. The meeting was also attended by Dr. D. B. Panse, Utility Director, IWWA, and Shri A. G. Nampurkar, COM Member, IWWA Pune Centre. The Pune Centre extends its heartfelt welcome and best wishes to Shri Umesh Mehta and looks forward to working together to make the IWWA National Convention 2027 at Ranchi a grand and successful national event.
