IWWA-Meerut Centre celebrated World Environment Day on June 05,2024. In the Session-1, Centre organised the Tree Plantation Program in campus of 245 MLD Water Treatment Plant, Gangajal Project Campus, Ghaziabad. In the Session-2, celebration program was conducted in the Conference Room, in which Er.K.M.Yadava, Superintending Engineer (Retd.) & Guest of Honour presented Key Note Address on the topic ' Reuse of Secondary Treated Effluent in the form of Industrial Grade Water '. Many other members also expressed their views on various environmental related issues and their solutions.
Meerut Centre organised a Technical Lecture Meeting on March 01,2024(yesterday) at Ghaziabad. The lecture was delivered/ presented by Er.Sarvesh Kumar, (Retd.) Chief Engineer,U.P.Jal Nigam & LF-IWWA, on the topic - "Changes/ Modifications In Manual Of Water Supply And Treatment System (Drink From Tap)-Part A". Around 40 members and other engineers participated in this Lecture Meeting.
IWWA-Meerut Centre organised a Lecture meeting & field/site visit of the ongoing implementation of India's first R.R.T.S.Project , from Delhi (Sarai Kale Khan) to Meerut, being executed by NCRTC, on December 09,2023. Er.Rohit Tyagi, Executive Engineer, NCRTC delivered the lecture and his presentation covering this prestigious project and explained all the relevant details during the site visit of under construction Anand Vihar Station of this project. A total of 20+ members of IWWA and guests actively participated and enjoyed the program. After the site visit, We all travelled from Sahibabad to Duhai Depot and back to Sahibabad Station, around 17 Km. long priority section of this project, which has been made operational and commissioned by NCRTC.
IWWA -Meerut Centre,in association with IWE (India), celebrated Engineers Day at Hotel Blu Stone, Kaushambi, Ghaziabad. Er.Shailendra Sharma, Former D.G.,CPWD was the Chief Guest & Key Note Speaker on the occasion and Dr.Kuldeep Malik,Prof.,ITS E C, Greater Noida & Mr.Rajesh Mathpal, Project Director,SUEJ International were Guests of Honour. Around 35 members and Guests participated in the program.
Around 26 members attended and actively participated in the AGM. After the meeting, a tree plantation program was conducted, in which around 250 saplings of various types of trees were planted in U.P.Jal Nigam Campus.
