Celebration of World Earth Day on 22nd April, 2025
On the occasion of Earth Day on 22nd April, 2025 the IWWA Lucknow Centre organized a seminar and a tree plantation program. The event was graced by special guests—Bhojpuri poet and Ganga activist Mr. Krishnanand Rai, and environmentalist Mr. Arunendra Kumar Srivastava. Both shared their experiences and efforts in the fields of water and environmental conservation. Former President of IWWA, Er. P.K. Sinha, was also present as a distinguished guest. The program commenced with a welcome address by Er. Sanjay Singh, President of the IWWA Lucknow Centre, who introduced the significance and history of Earth Day. Other participants shared their personal efforts and initiatives toward environmental and water conservation, such as activities undertaken at home, in nearby parks, and other local areas. The event was skillfully moderated by Er. D.N. Yadav, a member of the IWWA Executive Committee. Around 30 members actively participated in the event.
